Ace
In any round, When a player gets all five kills, they get an ace. Often you see the other teammates back off to let them get the ace, rather than let someone else get the kill.
Team Ace
A Team Ace is when all the players on a team each get a kill during the round. It is called Team Ace as Five individuals get one Kill.
Counterstrafe
The first-three bullet out of your weapon in valorant will always be the most accurate, barring Running (W gaming) around and firing like a mad person. Counter strafing is when a player stops their direction with either A site or any site for that matter, further immediately changing direction in a sense rotating from one site to another.
Cubby
A cut out of a wall, or small nook where someone can wait for an enemy to cross their path or basically area of camping. There are usually multiple cubbies per site and map.
Dink
Have you ever gave a Headshot, but it went through a wall or corner of any box or some object, and the opponent didn’t die? And you keep informing your teammates that the opponent is Low on health. Well, it is known as Dink. There’s a noticeable Dink noise. It will most times be a one-shot kill, but shields and varying gun damage will play a factor.
Economy (Econ)
At starting each round, we get credits, which varies every round, plus it depends on your winning/losing, and Individual Kills, Plants, Assists. And this is how it affects that how much money a player will have to spend per round. Not utilizing the money properly by any individual player can lead him stuck and unable to use the higher-tier weapons like Operator, Odin, Vandal, and Phantom. This is known as Economy (Econ). There are plenty of scenarios where econ comes into play. Starting any round with a pistol but looting an Operator or Vandal from the enemy can drastically improve your team’s economy and a player’s specific econ rating. The economy can also be a co-operative effort. A player upgrades from an SMG to a rifle, allowing a teammate to pick up their discarded weapon instead of buying their own and saving credits.
Flick
Typically, a good aim has more to do with crosshair discipline and less with flicking. But sometimes, an enemy pops out of the last place you would expect, requiring you to flick your mouse. Flick shots are tough to pull off but look so good.
Frag/Pick
A kill can also be called a frag or a pick, depending on at what period it is performed.
GLHF
GLHF is an abbreviation for “good luck, have fun.” It’s used at the beginning of a competitive Valorant Match or any FPS Game to establish a feeling of sportsmanship or manners.
Bunnyhop
Bunnyhop is an advanced technique that allows you to mix up your movement and move slightly faster than sprinting by buffering your jumps and air strafing. It is also known as b-hop
CD
CD is an abbreviation for “cool down.” E.g., in a chat, Sage says, “My heal is on CD.”
CT
The term has been popular over from the FPS game Counterstrike, referring to “counter-terrorists,” which are equivalent to Valorant defenders. It’s often used in callouts such as “CT spawn,” referring to when an enemy comes from the defender’s spawn.
Crossfire
When two teammates position and fire so they are on opposite sides of an enemy between them.
Flank or Lurk
When a player sneaks around to attack the enemy team from behind without letting them know their position.
Flawless
When a team wins a round by killing all enemies and doesn’t suffer any casualties.
Heaven/Hell
It is a callout term often used to describe a high location where snipers and other long-ranged weapons are used from. Hell refers to the location directly below heaven.
Jiggle peek
It is the term that is used to quickly peek out and return to cover with any object’s help to gain information or bait an enemy into shooting at you so that your teammate can kill the enemy easily.
Lit
It is used to describe when an enemy has taken a lot of damage and is close to dying.
Long
It refers to long alleyways and pathways where snipers tend to be.
NT
NT is an abbreviation for “Nice Try.”
One-way Smoke
A smoke grenade that allows a player to see enemies, but the enemies cannot see them.
Retake
When the defenders concede a site to the attackers to regroup and coordinate to regain control of the site.
TP
Refers to ‘Teleport.’
Thrifty
When the defenders concede a site to the attackers to regroup and coordinate to regain control of the site.
Trade
When a player tries to kill an enemy but eventually fails and gets killed by that enemy, In between, his teammate succeeds; killing the same enemy is known as Trade.
